The International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors

IAMFC Leaders are either appointed or elected to their position. The president, board member at large, governing council representative, and the graduate student representative are all elected positions. The president is responsible for recommending all appointed positions to the Board of Directors for approval, including the executive director, secretary/treasurer, chairs and members of standing committees. To become involved in leadership positions, respond to calls for nominations in the Digest, website, and listserv.

This organizational chart reflects the systemic nature of IAMFC and our belief that all members and leaders play a vital role in our mission of promoting excellence in the practice of couples and family counseling. The collaborative nature of entities is represented by both the bidirectional flow of information and the flow of services from the inner circle out towards the most important circle: the membership.
